the suggestion that a female character would be less awesome if she loved someone, regardless of how that love was portrayed/the suggestion that love would inherently invalidate a female character’s positive traits: dangerous! problematic! limiting!
the idea that any well-written character, regardless of gender identity, displays the complex, layered, flawed, compelling, and ever-shifting mental/emotional landscape that comprises the human condition: not…actually all that revolutionary?
